Welcome to my online portfolio. My name is Silvio Porretta, I'm an independent artist and a video game industry professional.

With over 20 years of development experience in the computer games industry, I contributed to the development of various award-winning titles and am credited on more than a dozen shipped video games, including being one of the creators of the blockbuster Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater™ franchise. During the past three years, I was a founding partner and the CCO of AltEgo, LLC. I led the company’s creative developments efforts by identifying the vision of our games, assembling the project team, and overseeing the vision’s execution for new game IP and for projects with global brands. Prior to forming AltEgo, I co-founded Invasiv Studios, an independent consoles games company in New York City. Before that, I co-founded hand-held game studio, Taniko LLC. Previous to my entrepreneurial ventures, I spent nearly a decade at video game developers and publishers, including Neversoft Entertainment, Activision Inc. and Atari Corporation, serving as Lead and Senior Artist, and Game Designer. I began my career in the interactive entertainment industry in 1990 as Art Director and Game Designer for French independent game studio, Eterna.

I studied fine arts at École des Beaux-Arts in France and currently reside in Santa Monica, California. My artwork has been published internationally and has been shown in various galleries.
