silvio porretta i-o studio

Creative Director based in Venice, California.

In 2018 I went to Taiwan for a few months to work with Neobards Entertainment. There I was trained as a lighting specialist with the Unreal 4 engine, working on a famous AAA video game franchise for the PS4. Also, I am involved as a creative and an ambassador with DRKN clothing - a first class street fashion brand with an exclusive collection promoting gaming and the digital culture.

For two decades, I've worked in the computer games industry and digital medias where I contributed to the development of various award-winning titles, including the iconic Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise. A few years ago, I was a founding partner and CCO of Last Legion Games/AltEgo - I led the company’s creative developments efforts by identifying the vision of our games, assembling the creative team, and overseeing the vision’s execution for new game IP and for projects with global brands. Prior to forming AltEgo, I co-founded Invasiv Studios, an independent consoles games company in New York City. Before that, I co-founded hand-held game studio, Taniko. Prior to my entrepreneurial ventures, I spent nearly a decade at video game developers and publishers, including Neversoft, Activision, and Atari, serving as Lead Artist and Game Designer. I began my career in the interactive entertainment industry in 1990 as Art Director for French independent game studio, Eterna.

I studied fine arts at École des Beaux-Arts in Montpellier, France. My artwork has been published internationally and has been shown in various galleries in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
